Historic England and Coventry Business Improvement District, in partnership with Coventry City of Culture Trust (CCCT), are working together on a series of commissions, under the title of Reflections. The commissions will spotlight and celebrate the city’s post war heritage by bringing together creatives, communities and collections with installations in the city centre.
Coventry’s post-war heritage tells a story of hope, reconciliation and reinvention. Following the devastation of the Second World War, Coventry quickly established itself at the forefront of rebuilding, working with international architects and artists to rebuild and reshape the city with a new vision for a new world.
As part of the project we are working with three local groups to curate artworks from three national art collections to be exhibited in City Arcade. These exhibitions will happen in November 2021, January 2022 & March 2022. We are excited to have commissioned three socially engaged artists Lorsen Camps, Jo Gane and Frankie Robson to promote, animate, celebrate or deepen audience engagement around the shop window exhibitions. Here the artists will track their journey.
